Global Missions

We partner globally with life-giving churches and organizations who provide spiritual and physical support to their communities. Custom focuses on opportunities like: Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Evangelism, Construction Projects, Leadership Development, and Programs designed to help those in need.

Fundraising

We ask all trip participants to fundraise for the trip (not just the individual). Part of the mission trip experience is asking for others to partner with you by sending you by support the team financially. Because these are student trips, Seacoast invests in an approved staff member for every Custom trip. The minimum number of leaders on a trip is four, but some trips require additional leaders depending on the number of students participating.

Timeline

Applications are open December 1-31 each year.
Team members are selected by January 15 each year.
Training is held on January 31.

missions training

Every student and leader attending a Custom Mission Trip is required to attend the Custom Missions Training Event that kicks off the first official meeting for each team. Teams will get the chance to meet other team members during this training and hear from some of our veteran mission trip leaders in helping prepare for the mission trip.

We also ask parents to attend this training. We will have a special breakout just for parents to help them prepare their student for Custom Missions as well as an opportunity to meet the team leaders and other parents of students going on their trip.

missions debrief meeting

One of the most important missions meetings is the one after the missions trip. Each team will gather to debrief all that God did while on the mission trip and help each other with next steps.
